Comment: The Giants won the World Series. Their late-season stampede (including an 11-4 record in the postseason) seemed to only increase in strength and unstoppability as October days ticked by. I’ve had a front row seat (literally, in one instance) to see this team play, and the memory of last night’s final out – seen from Civic Center, as three thousand silhouettes leapt skyward in unison – will stick with me forever.
