Comment: Blimps, string theory, the music of Roy Orbison - you name the topic, and chances are A Blogger, Idiot is a guru. If there is one thing that had mystified me for years, though, it is the appeal of the sport of hockey. I'm slowly starting to grasp it, though, and this week I took in a game firsthand for the first time: a 5-0 Sharks playoff win. Frustratingly, there weren't as many cruel and unnecessary hits in the real game as there typically are in my NHL 2K9 version for Playstation. Still - the crowd was amped, and there was some good action on the ice. Maybe this is the Bay Area team I'll adopt as my own.
