Along a moonlit road I roam
No voices but the trees
Peace attends the thought of home
And irons out the breeze
Peace from dreams that do not wane
Of windless fields in autumn
Of bedside windows touched by rain
And lakes along their bottom
Far from the halls of my old town
Away from friends and brothers
I'll stop and settle briefly down
By the campfires of others
