A very San Francisco weekend

...involves a Sunday afternoon burrito crawl through the Mission district, where (according to unofficial guesstimate) 50+ taquerias pepper the neighborhood's colorful canvas.

The late-arriving crowd* made five stops, with featured flavors including carnitas, prawns, chicken, carne asada, and al pastor. Top marks went to Puerto Alegre's grilled chicken burrito (image #3 in the set below).

Next up...North Beach pizza crawl? As fellow burrito champion Boris remarked, Golden Boy
would be the strong favorite going into that event.

*Breakfast burritos were scheduled for 11:30 AM, but that time turned out to be fiendishly early for everyone but me, who could be seen waiting alone on the corner like a drug dealer for nearly 45 minutes.
